The Auction
Saturday Morning – More Pictures
This was the scene on Saturday morning shortly after 7:30 when we came over the hill by way of a field “lane” created just for this event – to keep the traffic away from the auction area.
Deb wasn’t able to come yesterday, so got a hug from her brother.
Sisters
These two are making another trip to pick up or deliver something.
Selling items from the farm wagons.
The corn crib was sold later in the day.
After meeting Keebler the Skunk, Ashlea drew a photo of him. I love it.
I didn’t want a regular job at the auction – just wanted to enjoy every moment – but I did keep my eye on the number of runners waiting to take items to successful bidders. If the line became short – especially when runners were asked to do another job – I filled in when necessary.
Waiting to be sold.
An old rug

Ian waiting anxiously to see if his dad was successful in getting the foreign money he wanted.
This is getting serious!
Yes! He got what he wanted.
Jared also wanted some foreign money.
I went to the attic of the house to see what I could see. This old window was not clear enough to get a great photo.
It was a bit easier to get pictures from the front window.
Auction of the row of items along the edge of the yard.
These photos give you just a slight idea of the delightful day.
