Rally Celebration
Sunday, June 24
Sunday morning audience
Set Free blessed us with their bluegrass gospel music.
Jeff Batzer, TFC Executive Vice President of Ministry Programs, shared about his near-death experience on Mount Washington many years ago.
Due to frostbite he lost the fingers on his right hand, one leg was amputated below the knee, as well as the toes on the other foot.
Chaplain David Hertle gave an update on the ministry in Omaha, Nebraska, before praying a blessing on the noon meal.
We met Laura and Dave a few nights earlier at a local restaurant. They were in the area for Laura’s brother, Galen Martin’s wedding.
When the Rigidply driver comes to remove the stage from North Hall, we know the Truck Rally is officially over.
Each of my Truck Rally photos is posted on my FaceBook page here.
After getting home, we had lots of things to unload, including this Adirondack chair set we purchased at Saturday’s auction.
Our daughter Diane helping with the small table.
Diane and her daughter Lydia unloading the chair.
We have a perfect spot for it.
It was donated to the Truck Rally Benefit Auction by the vendor who was next to us at Mid-America Trucking Show, Louisville, Kentucky, in late March.
This is what I see from our new chair
It will be nice to have this chair for times in the early morning and evening when I want to sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.
