A Reunion & Our Yard
Sunday, July 8
It was a warm day when Cerwin’s family “The Highs” had their annual reunion.
There are aunts and uncles and cousins – and the cousins children.
Cerwin’s uncle Harvey (center with hat) always brings back memories of my father-in-law. They have some common mannerisms.
The corn is looking fairly good in our area, but we have had a long dry spell which is causing concern for the farmers.
Along with little rain, the hight temperatures are causing stress to the corn crop.
This week has brought some relief with two nice rain showers.
Our squirrels always appreciate when I put peanuts in this feeder.
We see humming birds most mornings and evenings, but I have yet to get a good photograph of one.
I am so pleased with our one tomato plant.
It is my only garden – one tomato plant. ![]()
There is no better tomato than one right from the garden. One that has never been refrigerated.
We still have a few pretty daylilies.
I noticed the bottom side of a beetle just as I took this picture.
There are also a few gooseneck flowers in the memory garden.
