Morning At Sea
Norwegian Jewel
Thursday, February 2
A beautiful sunrise 6:53 a.m.
Hannah (right) and her breakfast friend were silhouetted in the Garden Cafe by the morning sun. They met at the same table each morning.
Another fabulous early morning with our four children.
This picture makes me smile.
The instructor teaching us the first step in making Crepe Paper Carnations.
Since this was a day at sea, I decided to look over the schedule and take advantage of some interesting things to do. First I went to Spinnaker Room (9:00 a.m.) to learn how to make Crepe Paper Carnations.
We began with crepe paper and flower wire.
I chose rose colored crepe paper.
Lydia beginning to roll her crepe paper – very loosely.
Elizabeth wrapping her yellow crepe paper flower.
Hannah wanted a purple carnation.
The lady next to me attaching her crepe paper to the wire with flower tape. After getting it attached, we wrapped the entire length of the wire.
Next we began “opening” the carnation by gently pulling the crepe paper away from the center – by starting with the outside layer.
We were surprised at how pretty they were.
Elizabeth, Hannah, and Lydia
A lady near us asked if we would like a photo of the four of us. How nice of her.

More Thursday photos tomorrow night.
