Christmas Meal & School Concert
Monday, December 17 & Tuesday, December 18
We had a delicious lunch and a great time at the TFC Office on Monday, December 17.
When it was over, I discovered that I had taken a picture of the food but none of the people.
Before heading home to my office, I asked Cerwin to pose with his current project. He’s making a tract rack for the Life-Saver Chapel at the Elkton, Maryland, TA TravelCenter.
This will be his next big project – a new chapel – which he will begin in early January. This one does not yet have a truck stop location.
The next evening we went to our local middle school for the Holiday Concert presented by seventh and eighth grade.
You may remember that we sat on the balcony the previous week. This time we were in the third row – which was nice in some ways – but as you will see, there were a lot of photo obstructions when sitting so close.
We filled an entire row – plus one. Left to right: me, Josh (black and grey shirt), Jared, Deb (talking to our sister-in-law, Dot), Jesse, Ian, Roy, Kristen, and Jere. Cerwin sat directly behind Jere.
Jesse kept playing hide-and-seek with me. I finally “caught” him in a shot.
Poinsettias on the stage.
Mrs. Shirk – Director of the orchestra.
This was my view of Andrew (royal shirt & yellow tie).
Andrew is a grandson of my brother Dale and his wife, Dot.
If I timed my shot correctly, I could sometimes capture his face.
Our granddaughter Jana (center) sang in the chorus.
She also did a great job on the keyboard.
A select group of girls singing A Joyful Noise.
Emily (a neighbor and friend from church) played the french horn.
Andrew also played in a special trombone number.
The directors being recognized.
Jana, Roy, and Deb after the program.
Jared dressed up for the concert.
Ian wore a school hoodie.
