Shopping, Eating, & Stitching
Cerwin had something to return to Home Depot, and since we had nothing scheduled for Saturday afternoon, we decided to do it then.
While he did that…
…I went next door to Party City.
I needed supplies for an upcoming birthday party and knew I could find most things here.

After that we went to Longhorn Steakhouse for an early supper. We both chose Half Steakhouse Sandwich & Soup. I can tell that this is my meal because I chose Shaved Prime Rib and Shrimp & Lobster Chowder (a creamy corn chowder), and I can see a piece of corn. Cerwin chose the same half sandwich with Loaded Baked Potato Soup (with bacon and cheddar).
I could have done without dessert, but Cerwin had reserved space for his sweet tooth and ordered fried cream cheese and ice cream. Yes, I did take a few bites.
It was a delightful way to celebrate the anniversary of our first date – fifty-one years ago.

I thought you might like to see what I bought at Party City for Mother High’s birthday party in a few weeks.
I was surprised to find balloons with her name printed on them.
Yes, she will be ninety-five years old.

When we got home I posted my blog, then worked on my current counted cross stitch piece – a picture of our house. You can notice the mark from the hoop I use to keep the material tight.
Two closeups
So ended our day and week.
