Sauder Reunion
~ Siblings of Cerwin’s Mother & Their Children ~
Saturday evening, September 24
It was the first time we held this reunion at Landis Homes Retirement Community. We changed the venue so the oldest generation could attend, as three of them live at Landis Homes.
Some of Uncle John David & Aunt Laura High’s family.
Several of Uncle Amos and Aunt Ruth’s Sauder’s family.
I think these are all from Uncle Isaac and Aunt Naomi’s family.
A mixture of relatives.
Four siblings – Uncle John (95), Cerwin’s Mother Ella (94), Uncle Amos (82), and Uncle Luke (77). Aunt Naomi was not able to attend due to failing health. She is ninety years old. Uncle Luke is the only one of these four who does not live at Landis Homes. Aunt Naomi is in another nursing care facility.
There were originally eight siblings – Uncle Aaron, Aunt Alice, and Aunt Laura have gone to be with the Lord, and as I said, Aunt Naomi was not able to come.
Cousins
The children of the eight siblings are standing behind John, Mother, Amos, and Luke, and Uncle Luke’s wife Willamae is directly behind him. Uncle John’s wife, Bertha, was not able to come, and Mother and Amos are widowed.
Everyone who was there at the time I took this picture.
(About half a dozen arrived after this picture was taken.)
The same picture as before – except I took Cerwin’s place, and he took the picture.
Each of Uncle Amos and Aunt Ruth’s children were there – and their spouses.
I love reunions and getting to know our relatives a bit better. I had a great time talking to Leon (right) and learning about a mission program in Haiti in which he and Roxie are involved (he serves on the board).
