High School Graduates
Honored at Church

There are ten high school graduates at our church this year: Tirzah, Jacolia, Janessa, Tiersha, Sabrina, Nate, Cameron, Cory, Hannah, and Amber.
At the end of the service they were honored with their choice of a Bible concordance or Bible dictionary. (Not everyone was able to be at church this morning.)

One of our ministers, Carl, preached an inspiring message titled
Great Expectations – Great Obstacles
Following are a few notes I wrote during his sermon – some that he said, other thoughts that came to me as he spoke.
“Satan tells us that we are too weak to win.”
“God tells us that with Him we will win.”
God delights in you.
Find God’s opportunities for you.
God’s promises are true.
Our grandson Nate walking toward the front.
Do not depend on your own strength.
Stay close to the Bible.
Our minister Ron, concluded the service by quoting Proverbs 3:5 & 6 as a mathematical equation:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart

Lean not on your own understanding
+
In all your ways acknowledge Him

He shall direct your paths
