Part 3

Blessing Your Loved Ones By Your Attitude

Afternoon Session

January 29 & March 1

all (31)

Because God sent Jesus to be our example, we should take advantage of every circumstance to bless our loved ones.

all (29)

Treat your spouse with respect

Treat your children with respect

Treat your coworkers with respect

Treat difficult people with respect

If you have wayward children, treat them with respect.

all (28)

Be interested in those who live in your house.

If your husband loves football – learn about football – ask questions – ask him why he enjoys it.

If your wife enjoys scrapbooking – take time to look at her work – ask questions – watch her lay out a page.

If your son is an artist – go with him to an art show – ask questions – ask him what he hopes to be doing with his skills in ten years.

If your daughter is a nurse – watch her in action if possible – ask questions – find out why nursing is important to her.

If your friend is a CEO – listen – ask questions – walk with them through good days and tough days.

all (20)

Do you know your spouse’s plans for the future?

Do you know what your young children want to be when they grow up?

Do you know what your teenagers believe that God wants them to do for mankind?

Do you know your friends hopes and plans.

all (16)

It is sad that many men treat female coworkers with more courtesy than they treat their wife.

And likewise, many women show more respect to salesmen in a store than to their husband.

Never treat other people’s children with more kindness than you treat your own.

If you live with a difficult spouse, or a difficult child, remember: respect means loving people more than they deserve.

all (15)

Does your family see Jesus in you?

Do they know that it is a delight and joy for you to serve Him.

Have you taught them that God is the “I Am that I Am”

in any “It is what it is” situation.

  all (9)

Are you a continual feast or a continual dripping?

Proverbs 15:15 or Proverbs 19:13

 all (5)

How would life be different in your house or at your job if Jesus took your place today?

all (8)

Listen to your spouse and children.

Listen with your face.

all (2)

Affirm them often. Say the words, “I love you.”

Keep your word.

all (3)

Make sure your spouse and children know that you are on their side.

 all (1)

Celebrate for no reason at all. Use your good table cloth and dishes now and then – especially for celebrations – sometimes for no reason at all.

2 (10)

Blessing your loved ones means that you never stop demonstrating God’s love to them. How will they understand God’s love if you don’t demonstrate it.

all (62)

A Prayer For Your Loved Ones

Ephesians 1:16-19 (Combination of versions)

I continually give thanks for you and remember you in my prayers.

I ask God to give you the spirit of wisdom and understanding.

I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be focused and clear; so you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance, and His incomparably great power for us who believe.

all (125)

Run your race with grace.

It will bless your loved ones.

all (76)

Those who serve God with a fierce faith bless their loved ones

when it is easy and when it it is difficult.
