Congratulations, Jeff
Twenty-five Years of Safe Driving!
Tonight, March 30
Tonight we joined the celebration of Jeff’s accomplishment. (He said it is actually twenty-seven years, because White Oak Mills only began keeping records twenty-five years ago.)
Gloria designed this large poster for the party.

This was included on the poster. I discovered it last week when looking for something concerning our Hershey heritage, and emailed it to Jeff. He did this artwork on the back of a bulletin during a church service in November 1973. He had just turned nine. It looks like he even had trucking in his blood when he was young.
Gloria drew this picture of Jeff hunting from a tree stand.
It looks like he had a good hit, because the deer is bleeding profusely. ![]()
Jeff & Chris’ nickname for Diana is “Squirt.”

Mary Jane, Jeff, and Cerwin waiting for supper. Jeff still had no idea that the party was for him. He thought it was a birthday party for Jenna.
Can you guess what this is? It’s one of Gloria’s experiments.
It contains dirt, earthworms, and a banana peel.
Gloria says that eventually the earthworms will turn the banana peel into dirt.
Chris said that she is getting impatient for spring and needed some color in her house.
This delicious potato soup (made by Chris) was our main course.

Nate took a few pictures, and this one of us was a result of his photography.
Mary Jane was the one who set up this party. She thought that twenty-five years of safe driving was worth celebrating. I agree.
She is their adopted neighborhood mother.
Reading the card from us. I used the photo of his 1973 artwork for the cover.
Tiny daffodils from one of Chris’ flower beds.
It was a great day and a great celebration. I love celebrating wise children and grandchildren.
