Corn
Remember this picture from May 30 when corn was being planted in my brothers’ fields?
This is what it looked like one week later June 6.
I never tire of seeing tiny, green corn shoots coming up all over a field.
Three days later (June 9) it is eight inches tall.
A few hours after taking the pictures of the corn yesterday, we had a short-lived thunderstorm come through our area.
The water will give the corn another shot in its roots.
It is always interesting how wildlife comes out right after a rain storm.
Just before the rain, Cerwin thought that he was going to mow some yard, but just as he got to the shed where we keep the lawnmower, it began pouring. As he turned around to run toward the house, a raccoon ran toward the shed. ![]()
