Chapels, Trucks, Flowers, & Berries
On Thursday, June 9, Cerwin and Glenn took the new promotional chapel (International Chapel #2) to the Somerset Exit of the Pennsylvania Turnpike to meet Gary and Pearl (Ohio).
They planned to use it for a church service and TFC’s Ohio Truck Show on June 18.
Glenn and Gary.
If you look closely, you can see Gary’s wife, Pearl, in the driver’s seat of their blue van. She drove their van back to Dalton, Ohio, while Gary drove the chapel.
On that same day, Chaplain David Nispel took this picture of the truck (back) that transported the plane which landed in the Hudson as it went by the truck stop in Wytheville, Virginia (where TFC has a chapel).
He took the picture at 9:45 a.m. from the exit ramp on I-77 and I-41.
The next day, Friday, June 10, Cerwin and Glenn took the International Chapel #1 to the Pennsylvania National Truck Driving Championship near Harrisburg.
Bunny (right) was there to minister to the drivers who attended the competition, and help make them aware of the ministry of TFC.
Meanwhile, back in our yard (June 5) the Shasta Daisy’s were full of tight buds.
Today (June 22) they are in full bloom.
I brought them inside to photograph because it was too breezy to take a closeup outside.
Another daisy-like flower
The daylilies are beautiful.
When walking through our backyard, I noticed the Mulberry branches were heavy, so checked for berries.
Mulberries look a bit like raspberries, but have a solid center.
I ate some each time I went by, but left most of them for the birds to enjoy.
I also noticed that the Yucca plant had grown quite tall.
Then I noticed another, smaller one. This is the first year there were two.
Today they are beautiful and in full bloom.
That’s it for my post of chapels, trucks, berries, and flowers.
