High Family Picnic
Sunday, July 10
Following the worship service at Manheim Brethren in Christ Church (previous post), we went to the High Picnic (Cerwin’s Dad’s family) at High Sports, Lititz, for our annual picnic.
Uncle Sam (owner of High Sports) and his son John prepare hamburgers and hot dogs.
Each family brought a hot and cold covered dish.
After lunch everyone enjoyed reconnecting with aunts, uncles, and cousins.
There was a refreshing “water spray” near the area where we had our picnic. Some of the young people enjoyed getting wet because it was a very warm afternoon.
Our grandniece Peyton seemed to enjoy it the most.
Another thing she enjoyed was watching the small waterfall behind where I was sitting. It is part of the miniature golf course.
I loved how her wet hair glistened in the afternoon sun.
I love family reunions.
