The Nativity
by Our Grandchildren
Monday, December 27
Elizabeth, the director, gathered her cousins as they arrived, asking who wanted to participate in a nativity reading.
Diana was the angel/nararator
Angel (Diana), donkey (Josh partially hidden), Joseph (Josiah) and Mary (Lydia) stand by the manger as a shepherd (Zachary) leads his sheep (Jared) toward the manager.
Jenna (an angel) arrived as Diana read about the angel announcing the news to the shepherds.
I loved our sheep.
If he tried to sit down instead of remaining on all fours, his “wool” fell off. ![]()
Our angel read from Luke 2 and Matthew 2
Loved the head gear of our wise men (Nathan and Davy).
Posing for the cameras: the donkey (Josh) who carried Mary, plus Joseph, the wise men, and a laughing sheep.
Our baby Jesus was played by a Build-A-Bear, because my dolls are in the attic.
My favorite sheep
Jana wasn’t feeling well, nor is she used to a keyboard (she plays piano) but she gave us part of We Three Kings.
Mark is learning to play the teardrop dulcimer and played a bit of Away in a Manger.
