Lydia Surpised Her Sisters
August 4 & 5
It was about 10:00 p.m. on Thursday night, August 4, when I went to Clay Book Store to meet Becky who brought Lydia along to Pennsylvania (to help with her small children while they traveled). It was fun keeping it a secret from Hannah. She was surprised and even cried a bit when she saw Lydia.
The next morning the two girls (Hannah and Lydia) decided to surprise their newly married sister, Abigail, when Hannah asked her to come to our house to see something.
While Hannah (left) smiled, and Lydia (right) cried, Abby looked surprised and asked, “How did you get here?”
She brought us a fabulous gift from Maine – freshly picked, wild blueberries.
They are the best blueberries in the world.
A few days after Lydia went back to Maine (Sunday, August 7), Hannah made an appointment with grandpa. She needed help to design a card holder to display the cards she designs.
They used scrap wood and paneling and made really nice displays which will hold about two dozen cards.
Hannah was pleased with the result, and will use them as display racks in specialty stores.
