Garden Terrace just outside Derby Cafe was beautiful on this sunny day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Eight Bells is another racehorse (a filly) you may remember.

 

 

She collapsed immediately after finishing second in the 2008 Derby, due to compound fractures of  both front ankles, resulting in immediate euthanasia.

 

 

 

 

 

 

We went to the Derby Cafe to relax and enjoy lunch.

 

 

Cerwin and I shared a delicious chicken salad sandwich.

 

 

Their sweet tea was also yummy.

 

 

Of course there were lots of hats in the Finish Line Gift Shop.
