Goin’ Cajun With Roy & Deb
Saturday, November 6
Roy and Deb invited us out for lunch and shopping – a gift for our September wedding anniversary. Roy wanted to give us a taste of cajun at one of his favorite restaurants in our area.
Deb and Roy
I chose the Combo Sampler: hot poppers, fried mushrooms, zukes (onion), gator, crawfish, and sweet potato sticks.
The alligator was my favorite new taste.
Deb’s Rockin Oysters: broiled oysters on the half shell, topped with crab imperial
Roy chose Cajun Combo: fried catfish, a cup of seafood gumbo, and hushpups
Cerwin’s Blackend Club Steak: beef served with sauteed vegetables, potatoes, and frizzled onions.

After lunch they took us to BJ’s where they have a membership. I had fun looking for specials. After that we drove to That Fish Place and enjoyed seeing all the usual and not so usual fish and reptiles.

At lunch we saved room for dessert, knowing that we were stopping at Isaac’s later in the afternoon.
Deb wanted me to experiment with her new lens. We both have Nikon’s, so these were taken with my camera and her lens.
It doesn’t take much for some people to “mug” for the camera.
That was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon and evening.
Thanks, Roy and Deb!
