Bob’s Minnesota Wood Shop
…Bees and Maple Syrup
February 24-26
Bob and Cerwin spent most of Wednesday and Thursday in the shop.
Juanita delivered their morning snack – hot chocolate – on Thursday.
They framed, insulated, and painted a new area of the shop which he is going to use for spraying furniture.

Doris took mother and me on a tour of their honey and maple syrup room, which is behind the shop.
Bob’s beekeeper outfit
It won’t be too many weeks before they will be busy with tapping and boiling maple syrup.
Sugar is used to feed the bees before the flowers are blooming.

The bees are currently dormant – waiting for warmer days.
After a bear knocked over a beehive, Bob make a protective, electric fence to discourage this from happening again.
This area will be a hive of activity when flowers begin blooming in northern Minnesota.
