Truck Rally
Saturday Evening & Sunday Morning
June 26 & 27 ~ Final Entry – Part 9
The evening program opened with gospel music by the Schwartz Family from Michigan
Then it was trophy time.
Gene and Rose Gehman (Rally Coordinators) announced the winners.
Garden Tractor (They received their trophies on sight from the Garden Tractor judges. Kyrell was the only one who brought his trophy to the evening program.)
Pedal Pull. (They receive sodas at the Pedal Pull site.)
Ruff and Tuff Roadeo – pickup truck competition for men with a driver’s license.
Powder Puff Roadeo – pickup truck competition for women with a driver’s license
CDL Roadeo – professional truck driver’s competition
Truck awards – for those with the best kept trucks
The trucks are judged on a point system on a variety of things – including the inside of the truck. Having a high score on the exterior may be lowered by an unkept interior.
The Mark Trammell Quartet closed the evening program with their wonderful brand of Southern Gospel Music. They have fabulous harmony.
There was an audience of about 1,800
The light show competition followed the program – about 8:45 p.m.
Winners John Rissler and Jeff Brown
During the light show, I noticed a photo op when I saw these two looking out the sleeper window of this truck.
I expect it was their dad’s truck.

Sunday Morning – Rally Celebration
~~~
The Schwartz Family was back for morning worship. The audience of two hundred was blessed by their testimonies and country-style gospel music.
Following lunch the committee met for a wrap-up session.
There were few complications during the day, so we were standing in prayer to praise God for this and for His protection, as there is potential for accidents with many people (especially children) and trucks.
Because of the number of trucks we must consider rerouting the parade and remind drivers that they cannot be careless about the rules of the road just because it is a parade.
Gene asked for a response on Saturday night. Should we keep the parade? We received an overwhelming response to keep the parade.
One of our grandchildren had my camera and captured a few silhouettes following lunch. I liked them, and thought they were a nice way to close the Truck Rally pictures.
Our grandson Jesse riding his John Deere tricycle
A Schwartz Family daughter carrying an instrument to the bus.
I think these last two photos are also Schwartz Family children.
So ends another wonderful Rally Weekend.
