I Think It’s Rather Ugly

…and Beautiful Rain

July 10 & 11

 

 

On Saturday, July 10, Cerwin got the European mount of the buck he shot last fall.

 

 

 

He wanted a “memorial” of the first deer he took with his crossbow. The European mount is cheaper than a head mount, so that is good, but I still think they are rather ugly. When we were in Germany, and visited castles where the owners were hunters, all the mounts looked like this. I’m glad we have a room in the garage for creatures like this.

 

 

There was a beautiful rain on Sunday morning, July 11.

It had been dry for several weeks, with the exception of a few quick thunder/wind/hail storms, so this gentle rain was wonderful to watch.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thank you Lord for rain.
