A Relaxing Afternoon
Sunday, January 3
Following our house church, Diane served a delicious roast turkey dinner.
Remember the beautiful chocolate cake from Diane’s birthday party a few days earlier? This is what it looked like on the inside.
Nathaniel prepared the truck for his snowmobiling trip. His friends were on their way to Maine from Pennsylvania, and planned to meet him later in the afternoon.
We played games after Nathaniel left, but it wasn’t as much fun for Abigail, as when he was by her side. ![]()
Notice Diane’s cell phone. She was on “high alert” to be at the birth of a young couple’s baby. She got the call just before supper, and was pleased to get to the hospital just in time for the birth of Gideon.
Lydia was pleased with the online scrapbook I made for her so she can remember her summer with us. The cover photo is from cousins’ week.
We had a quiet evening, with everyone going to bed early in anticipation of Monday morning jobs or Curves before a job – and we planned to leave for home by 7:00 a.m.
