Part IV ~ Afternoon Session

 After lunch and worship in song, Theda introduced “Cardboard Testimonies.”

Cardboard testimonies begin with a written challenge, burden, struggle, or pain on one side of the cardboard…

…and the victory written on the reverse side.

I took these photos without a flash, so some are a bit blurry.

There was no talking – making this an inspiring time.

As the ladies moved across the front of the church, I realized that I could give you a better view if I went to the back of the church.

Theda prayed for Bernice before her afternoon session.

Women Empowered by the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit…

…came to dwell in us. I Corinthians 6:19

…convicts us of sin. John 16:7-11

…leads us to truth. John 16:3

…is our source to Christ-like qualities Galatians. 5:22-23

~~~
Bernice closed her part by asking us to read this in unison.
I am a woman of God, I am going forth with a fresh anointing from God, and a renewed commitment to be the woman God planned me to be. I am empowered with the Holy Spirit to do God’s will in my life, home, church, and community. To God be the Glory!
Doretta, Brenda, and Kathy prayed for requests that came in during the day.
Our closing song
(sung to the tune of Edelweiss)
~~~

May the Lord, mighty God,
Bless and keep you forever.
Grant you peace, perfect peace,
Courage in every endeavor.
Lift your eyes and see His face,
And His grace forever.
May the Lord, mighty God,
Bless and keep you forever.

While the ladies said goodbye to each other, cardboard testimonies rested on the front bench…

…and snowmen remained in their decorative places.

 It was a day of refreshment – just as planned.

Lisa said it best on her Facebook page. “I feel like I was hugged by God today.”

Tomorrow night: Weekend Visitors

If you are familiar with what is happening tonight (Friday, February 5) in the north east…

 …you know this snowman says it well. We are supposed to get 8-12″ (or more) of snow during the night.
