The Day I Celebrated My Birth
Monday, February 8
I liked what the morning sunrise did to these icicles.
After preparing some TFC mail for the post office, we went shopping for new flooring for the kitchen. Cerwin had done lots of research, after which we settled on laminate. We gathered information on the internet, then visited two local business where we gathered more valuable information – and two samples (because we couldn’t decide which one went best with our kitchen.) We settled on the sample to the left.
I like this distressed look and the way it pulled all the colors of our kitchen together.
In the early evening, we went to Lilly’s on Main for my birthday supper.
We rarely go to this restaurant, but I like how they prepare and present their food. We like to reserve a table overlooking Main Street so we can watch traffic and people.

Cranberry Bread
My Salad
Because of the sun, we pulled the curtain for pictures. Our gracious waitress, Amber.
I ordered Amish Duck, duck sausage, wheat berry pilaf and asparagus. I have to be in a mood of wanting something unusual to order duck. It was delicious.
Cerwin’s meal was New York Sirloin, asparagus, and baked potato.
Street lights just below the window where we were sitting.
Dessert Choices
Cerwin decided against dessert, but gladly tasted a few spoonfuls of my Lemon Gelato – a delicious frozen lemon mixture.

It is delightful to have a birthday.
