Preparing For the Wedding
Back to the Beginning
Friday Morning, February 19
The scene as we left Dawson and Hope’s driveway on Friday morning. They are neighbors to Bob and Doris – and the home where we stayed for four nights.
This photo was taken through the pickup truck window, after turning left and heading toward Bob and Doris’ home. We have the use of their car or truck during the wedding weekend.
Outside Bob & Doris’ living room window. The beauty on the trees is not snow, but hoarfrost.
Hairy Woodpecker
Dormant Grape Leaves
The wood and furnace shed that supplies heat for Japheth and Aimee (Bob and Doris’ son and daughter-in-law) who live on the same plot of land.
After going to Japheth and Aimee’s house to prepare the bed and guest room for Gary and Joy Butikofer, Lynne walked to grandpa and grandma’s with me. Bob and Doris’ house is in the background.
Lynne snuggling with Juanita as she finishes the hem of her dress for the wedding.
Japheth and Aimee’s five oldest children reading on Bob and Doris’ couch. Japheth Jr., Wayne, Jaden (who has a black eye from when he and Wayne accidentally bumped heads), Loraine, and Jeremiah.
Mother with Lynne and Loraine (two of her great-grandchildren).

Doris (background) and Judi. Judi is packing dishes for the bridal table.
Doris, Judi, and Linda. Judi is marrying into a family of five boys and Linda is married to the oldest son.
Joyanna (Laban and Linda’s daughter) playing with Uncle Reuben
Judi and Reuben opening a gift that arrived in the mail.
I think throwing packing bags at each other was a stress-reliever, as the wedding is now only a day away.
Packing supplies to be taken to the church on Friday afternoon.
Wedding programs – two different covers, but the same program on the inside.
Reuben’s car was packed full.
