Our Trip to NYC
The Parade of the Wooden Soldiers was one of my favorite numbers
This is one of the show’s original numbers from 1933.
The costumes are of the same design created in 1933 by Vincente Minelli.
Each costume is made for the individual dancer.
The closing act of this number is quite cute.
Watch the arms of those in the beginning of the line after this cannon goes “boom” and everyone collapses.
The last soldier quickly goes for a large pillow after he sees what is happening.
Tomorrow night the performance “New York at Christmas”
