A Beautiful Morning for Taking Pictures
Wednesday, April 21
Is that lady inside the window taking pictures again?
Our valley is turning greener every day.
The Canada geese have returned to the farm pond to raise their goslings.
If you look closely you can see the nesting female on the left side of the pond – just behind the tall grass?
Dandelion are in full bloom – some already shedding their seed.
I don’t know what this perennial is called, but it has pretty purple flowers and makes great groundcover in our woodsy flowerbeds.
In the fields the alfalfa is young and green.
Farmers are busy working the ground – preparing it for planting summer crops like corn and soybeans.
Many of our early flowers are over-the-hill. However, the azalea is in full bloom.
Our flowerbeds still look pretty from a distance…
…but most of the flowers are beyond their prime.
A few of the late blooming tulips are still looking good.
It’s easy to find pretty pictures in our area during late April
