Loxley’s
Friday, August 28
Warning! Do not read this when you are hungry.
It was time to take our Pennsylvania children out to celebrate their 2009 birthdays. We recently heard about Loxley’s – on Centerville Road near Lancaster – and decided to try it. We were not disappointed. Notice that there is a lot of outside dining – on the first and second floors. I made reservations, and that can only be done for inside seating, which turned out okay because it was a very rainy evening.
Left to right: Cerwin, Jeff, Chris, Deb, Roy, Kristen, and Jere. Notice my Asian Chicken Salad to the left of Cerwin. It was HUGE. I brought two-thirds of it home. I could have eaten more, but we all saw the dessert menu before ordering.
Entree
Jere and Cerwin each ordered Angus Beef Filet Steaks with mixed vegetables and sweet potato fries – and proclaimed it one of the best filets they have ever eaten.
Jeff also had an Angus Beef Filet, but chose rice and onion rings.
Kristen had Pan Seared Scallops.
Roy chose Loaf of Stew – beef stew in a bread bowl.
Deb’s Chicken and Penne
Chris had a Mediterranean Panini – not a slider as I first mentioned.
Thanks for the correction, Chris. After I looked up the definition, I didn’t think it fit the description of a slider.

Desserts
Three of us (Deb, Kristen, and I) chose Creme Brulee. I love Creme Brulee, and this was delicious.
Roy’s chocolate dessert.
Cerwin and Jeff chose chocolate raspberry cheese cake.
Chris’ chocolate dessert
Jere’s Key Lime dessert.
Even though it was raining, I decided to walk up the steps to see the second floor. I want to eat up here sometime.
Deb waiting for Roy to finish his exploratory tour of the second floor.
It was a fabulous, rainy evening.
