Cerwin’s mother knows that we like fried oysters, and invited us to have lunch with her at Landis Homes.

 Yum!

As we were heading home, we met this team of ten mules.  The driver pulled off the road to let traffic pass as we approached.

A bit farther, we came upon these Amish workers – raking corn fodder into rows.

Corn fodder usually becomes bedding for cows, horses, and mules.

Bright orange pumpkins can be seen at most roadside markets.

The town of Lititz has tree-lined streets that are beautiful this time of year.

At the other end of town, the leaves on several trees are multicolored.

For those living in far countries – and familiar with the road where we live – this is what the woods looks like, just northeast of the cemetery.

The trees made a pretty backdrop for these two holsteins on my brothers’ farm.
