Logan’s Roadhouse
Friday Evening, May 1
We were looking forward to having dinner in a new restaurant, ever since Deb and Roy invited us to Logan’s Roadhouse – partway between our house and his.
It was a gift to Cerwin, whose birthday had been a week-and-a-half earlier.
The rolls were fabulous! I had to use a lot of willpower to not eat a second one. They were light, buttery, and warm.
There was a bucket of peanuts on our table, but we opted to not eat any.
Our youngest daughter Deb and her friend Roy.
Cerwin and I each had a delicious salad (no photo) a six-ounce filet mignon, and a sweet potato. (Next to the steak, it looks like a twelve-ounce sweet potato!
I could only eat about half of mine.)
Roy had tilapia, a baked potato, and grilled vegetables.
Deb had a six-ounce filet mignon, topped with blue cheese, a sweet potato, and rice.
Each couple shared a delicious cheese cake, served in these small buckets.
This is what was inside. The size was perfect – just a few teaspoons for each of us.
After leaving the restaurant, we were a few cars behind them, but when getting near the exit for Route 30, they pulled up beside us. I rolled my window down, and so did Roy. I think they expected me to say one more goodbye, but I surprised them with a photo.
After that, we headed east and they went west.
