Part Three
Featuring the youngest children…
While the overhang of our house roof was being given a primer coat, there was a lot of other activity going on in our yard. Notice Diana on the left – preparing to make a running leap.
I’m thinking how many bones I would break if I did this, but it is exactly what I would have been doing at her age.
Jared checking out the step ladder.
Gloria, Ian, and Jared playing a yard game of some sort.
Jesse was content where ever there was water.
He got this old spoon from the play area under the pine tree.
These two buckets of water were in the yard, incase it was needed at the burn pile.
Who says we need an expensive pool for children to have fun with water.
He played here for a long time – dipping water from one bucket to the other.
It was especially fun for him to give Gloria a bucket full of water for the mud pies she and Jared were making under the tree.
That takes me back sixty years when I loved to make mud pies on the rarely-traveled road next to my dad’s barn.
Tomorrow night I will post pictures of our supper and birthday party for Jared.
