Part Four
Featuring Jared’s Birthday Party…
Because we were all going to be in one place, Jere and Kristen decided to celebrate Jared’s fifth birthday after the painting party supper.
I picked up a few balloons…
…and asked the girls to help me decorate the garage to make it look festive.
Because of the damage to Cerwin’s shoulder (from his fall last week), we decided to not put carpet on the floor.
When grocery shopping, I noticed a small box of gum balls, and thought they would make a fun decoration on the tables.
They were a hit with the children.
Before prayer, Cerwin thanked everyone for their help.
An update on his shoulder: He had an MRI last night, and today the doctor told him there appears to be damaged tissue – which means he must see a specialist. That appointment is June 1.
Thanking the Lord.
The supper menu included lasagna, fresh asparagus, seven-layer salad, deviled eggs, red beet eggs, rhubarb salad, and potato chips.
Then it was time for Jared’s cards and gifts. He loved the singing cards.
The monster truck (Grave Digger) music and sounds were so cute.
He had to cover his eyes before getting the gift from Aunt Debbie.
A foam sword! Just what he wanted.
This bag is almost as tall as him.
Right now his favorite cartoon is Tom and Jerry.
It’s so much fun to celebrate the birthday of a five-year-old.

Tomorrow night will be the final entry of our work and painting party saga – featuring “Gloria’s Tooth” and “Teaching Roy How to Play Four Square.”
