New Photos Added to Previous Posts of the Rally!

Yesterday Don Hollinger stopped in to give me his digital photos of the Rally.  We like to exchange photos, as both are responsible for entering pictures in TFC literature.  We notice different things at the Rally and are at varying locations, so it is fun to get each others perspective.

Taking Jordan Home and Local Flooding

Our fourteen-year-old grandson, Jordan, has been spending the past week with us.  (As part of their birthday gift – after age 12 – Cerwin and I give them the opportunity to spend a week of their choice at our house.) 

His favorite way of helping me this week was counting cash in the various cash boxes from the Rally.  I especially appreciated his help in filling out bank deposit slips which is what he is doing in the above photo.

When Jordan and I were on the road yesterday afternoon, he took a few pictures of local flooding.  We do not live near a river, but the local creeks were over their banks.

The scene at the Susquehanna River near Marietta, PA – 7 PM yesterday.

After meeting Cerwin at the TFC Int. Office, Marietta, PA, (he returned the TFC pickup truck after using it for the Rally) and going to a local restaurant for supper, Jordan asked Grandpa if he could get close to the Susquehanna.

This still photo cannot adequately give you the intimidating feeling of standing next to the sound of rushing water with lots of debris going by.
