A Few of My Favorite Pictures

&

The Main Auction

The Mud Sale

These little guys were playing in the rafters of one of the sheds that was for sale.

One of my favorite happenings was coming upon these three who were giggling at their reflections in the truck bumper.

My camera sidekick – or I guess I was hers!  Our daughter Deb could not be there for the entire sale, and asked me to take some pictures for next year’s magazine.  This picture is so typical of her and Roy – a cell phone and a camera.

This carriage needed some repairs.

I would have liked this for our memory garden, but I wasn’t there when it was sold.

When I noticed the fire chief at the top of the stairs to the second floor – where volunteers were recording auction information, I asked for permission to go to the top step to take this picture.  (The steps were barred from the public.)  Notice the firemen’s gear hanging in the back.

My sister’s lawn chairs were set up in the front row – right in front of the auctioneers.  (It is not what you know but who you know!)  I took this picture, and several of the following ones, with my camera on my lap in order not to distract them.

I love a good auction.

This was my only purchase – a two-dollar bird/squirrel feeder.  It was made with a wire coat hanger.

I was almost sad to see the day come to an end, but grateful for the shuttle bus that took us back to our car.  Cerwin came after a TFC prayer breakfast, and found a parking place at our church.
