Thanks For Your Prayers
Cerwin is doing well this evening.
His surgery lasted one hour and five minutes – about what the doctor expected. We were asked to be there at 10:20 a.m. for the 12:20 p.m. surgery.
Due to a pain blocker and this pain drip (black attachment), he is pain-free, which is wonderful.
Dr. Westphal said the tear was larger than he expected. He called it a monster tear. Consequently he had to make a small incision, along with the two small holes he expected to make, to repair the torn rotator cuff.
How delightful to come home at 4:30 this afternoon, and find homemade potato soup in our refrigerator – from my sister. It was a perfect meal for us this evening. She included delicious, homemade dinner rolls.
She also brought ingredients for apple crisp – home canned apple mixture and a baggie filled with the crumb topping.
Lydia spent the day with my sister and her daughter Chelsey, and was delighted to make the apple crisp for supper.

We have been overwhelmed with email, Xanga, and Facebook notes and prayers – and phone calls today. Special thanks to Rose Gehman for coming to visit me in the waiting room.
It’s been a good day!

This is my sister, her daughter Chelsey, and our granddaughter Lydia (from Maine) – taken Wednesday when I took them out for breakfast to celebrate Nancy’s birthday.
