Truck Rally
Benefit Auctions
Auctioneers, Donald Groff and Joel Heisey did a great job of selling donated items.
Theme baskets are a growing hit at the main auction.
Our granddaughters Diana and Jenna helped display items up for auction.
Due to so many donated items in recent years, the auction has been divided into four parts: Main, Silent, Winross, and Children’s, so the auctioneers can close by 5:15 PM.
I do not have a photo of the silent auction, where several items are put on a table, and bids are received by putting your number and bid on a piece of paper. Throughout the day you can check if you have been outbid, and increase the amount if you want the item. The winners are announced at 3:30 PM.
Winross Auction
The 173 donated Winross (and other brand) model trucks are a major portion of the auction income.
Children’s Auction
This is held at the same time as the Winross sale – as an alternate for those who are not into model trucks.
I love watching the children bid.
This little guy was my favorite. He used his card for bidding and would raise and lower it so fast I could only capture a blur.
His little sister was a recipient of several of his bids. She loved this little doll in a tiger outfit.
