Our Yucca Plant
In early June, I noticed that the yucca was going to bloom this year.
By the time I noticed the tall stems, they were five feet tall.
Two weeks later, I told Cerwin they must be seven feet tall. He thought I may have exaggerated, until I stood next to the tallest one (I am 5′ 8″), reached my arm above my head (adding another foot-plus), and there was still a foot above my hand! That’s about eight feet!
By June 23 it was one of the prettiest flowers in our memory garden.
I’m not sure where we acquired this plant, but I know I never expected this kind of beauty.
