Lancaster Barnstormers’ Baseball
Part II
Friday Evening, July 17
Jared, Ian, Jere, and Jana are settled in for the game.
And you just gotta have a hot dog and french fries at a baseball game.
A boy scout group carried the flag unto the field.
The coaching staff, Cylo, and an announcer listen as a mother and daughter sing The Star Spangled Banner.
Play Ball!
There were a variety of activities between innings. Here two friends are given oversized boxing gloves. I think it was a tie.
By seventh inning stretch Jana was ready for a funnel cake. I was glad she shared a few bites with her grandma.
Dragging the field.
A home run by Matt Watson secured a win for the Barnstormers.
The win brought the 7,012 fans to their feet, along with the ear-shattering sound of cow bells. There were lots of high-fives, handshakes, and other modes of celebration among the Barnstormers team.
The evening closed with a beautiful fireworks display.
…and so ended a beautiful Friday evening.
