Catching Up on a Few Recent Evenings

Saturday, July 11

Cerwin and Lydia.  Our first stop was for supper at Udder Choice.  (You will remember that Cerwin was able to shed his sling a few days later.)

I like their unique lights.

The purpose for this evening out was to visit our friends Earl and Arlene Sauder.  Arlene was involved in a car accident the previous day when someone pulled out in front of her.  (Notice that she is using a walker.)  She didn’t have any broken bones, but there was a lot of tissue damage to her lower legs – especially her left ankle.

Lydia knows how to crochet, and was interested in these tea cups.

Arlene was pleased to find the pattern for her.

We met our daughter Deb at a restaurant midway between our homes, so she could take Lydia home with her – for a trip to Lydia’s family in Maine the following day.

The four of us shared three desserts.  My choice (and favorite) is the lemon dessert on the right.

They’re back!  After a few days in Maine, Deb and Roy brought Lydia back, also her sister, Abigail.  We met them at the Ephrata Wal-mart.  Lydia is here to finish her summer visit, and Abigail is in the area for a week-long Bible School (Brethren Bible Institute) at Elizabethtown College.
