More photos from “Girls Day Out” on Wednesday

After looking at the rest of the photos, I realized that I do not have the finished product of many of the girl’s items, so the real “final photo” of each pottery piece will happen in another week or so, after they are glazed and fired.

 I went to the restaurant next door and brought chicken wraps, french fries, onion rings, and Coke to the snack room, so each person could eat lunch at a time that fit into their painting schedule.

 I painted a real leaf, then pressed it onto my small oval plate.  In this photo I am touching it up a bit.

Can you tell that I am a person who believes in simplicity?

You will have to wait to see what she did, because I did not get a final photo of the top…

 …but I did get this picture of the back.

Almost finished

Again, you will have to wait until it is glazed and fired to see the finished photo.

She was one of several who chose a rotating pedestal or platter when painting a base color.

“Nature is one reason to thank God.”  I like that!

~~~
We agreed that we want to do this again some day – maybe start a new, yearly event.  Most of the granddaughters want to go more often than that.
