On the way home from the hospital this afternoon, we stopped to pick up Josh, who is spending the night here with his cousins Jordan and Nathan.
Just after we got here Jeff and Chris stopped in with their boys.
Jeff was talking about listening to NASCAR when he got home, so I suggested they stay and watch it here. Jeff looked at Chris and asked what her plans were for the afternoon. She was hoping to go for a walk. I said we could walk together. So – we went for a walk while the men watched the race.
I am used to walking alone, so it was a treat to walk with someone.
Two miles and forty-five minutes later we were back home, just in time to see the end of the race. Before long they decided to go home, and as we were in the driveway saying goodbye to them, I noticed our sister-in-law Brenda walking up the road.
What was I thinking?
I asked if she wanted a walking partner.
This time we walked the opposite direction and had a great time visiting as well as as getting in some good walking exercise.
Four miles of walking was great exercise, but believe me, I did not look for any more walking partners today!
