Part I
It was good to be with TFC’s Leadership Team again, as this meeting was cancelled in 2008 due to the financial crunch caused by the sagging economy.
TFC did everything possible to “tighten our belts”, after the close of our fiscal year (June 2008) did not look encouraging.
Each person in administration and many staff took ten percent pay cuts, parttime employees were laid off, ministry travel was limited, most newsletters were printed with black ink instead of full color, three ministry publications were reduced to one, and my office became the center for all bulk mailings.
Imagine our joy on Tuesday, when end-of-year reports (June 2009) revealed that our financial situation was very much improved. I give our leadership and staff high marks for making this happen.
