Elizabethtown Fair
Thursday, August 27
While Cerwin and Lydia were cleaning up the pavilion area (getting it prepared for a wedding rehearsal dinner), we decided to spend the evening at the fair.
Lydia heard us talking about the Elizabethtown Fair, and wanted to see what a Pennsylvania fair was like. It was a beautiful day, so we decided to ask Jere and Kristen if we could take the “little boys” with us. (We have three groupings of grandchildren: big boys, girls, and little boys.)
When we arrived at the fair, the parking lot appeared full, but somebody must have just pulled out of a space next to the petting zoo, because that is where the parking attendant sent us. That was nice.
Needless to say, Jesse, Jared, and Ian were delighted to go along – and Lydia had fun helping us with the boys.
They loved the rabbits.
Jesse noticed someone pull grass and feed a rabbit, and soon did the same thing. We had a difficult time convincing him to move on to other animals.
The French Angora had more fur than body.
Watching peeps hatch.
Calves
Goats
Alpaca
I think they are so cute.
More about the fair tomorrow night.
