I Know Why Autumn is Called Fall
I think “Someone” told the leaves on our trees that it is time to let loose and fall to the ground – and it’s not been windy. They are just gently falling, probably from the extra weight of the drizzle we have been having.
Remember this photo of our new Red Sunset Maple from earlier this week?
This is what it looks like today.
On Monday, our yard had very few leaves on the grass. Several days later, it looks like this.
From a distance it is a mass of brown, yellow, and red.
But as one gets closer, individual leaves can be seen.
Some of them quite pretty.
I’m grateful to live in an area where the seasons are distinct and beautiful.
