Planting Corn, Family, and Playing Baseball
Just before going to my basement office this morning, I noticed that Eli was planting corn.
I never tire of watching a team of horses or mules.
It is amazing to watch them turn as a team.
Each one knows when to move and when to hold still. People could learn teamwork from them!

During the afternoon, my brother-in-law called, asking some advice on a printer, then invited us to meet them for supper – as they were taking Mother to a restaurant not far from us.

Suppertime
Clockwise – left to right: Cerwin, Mel, Velda (Cerwin’s sister), Mother, Elvin (Cerwin’s brother) Crystal (our niece), Jakey’s grandma, Jakey (engaged to Crystal) Pat, and Josiah.
We left the restaurant a bit early, while the others continued to visit – because we had a baseball game to attend!
The guys were well into the game when we arrived.

Red’s team of supporters
This was the first time I met my niece’s new baby son, Caleb. I think he is just six days old.
The sun and fence made it difficult to take pictures, so I had to be a bit creative.
Dave (baby Caleb’s dad) hitting a triple.
Tonight it was Red’s turn to congratulate the other team for their win.
