This is the Day!
I can’t believe it is actually here – the day we’ve been planning for and dreaming about since last summer.
We are leaving for Europe at 5:50 p.m…
…and landing in Berlin, Germany, early Sunday morning – after an eight-hour flight.
Neither of us has been overseas, so this is new and exciting. We are traveling with good friends, John and Arlene Heisey, and joining Ed-Ventures, Inc. at Newark Airport.
The purpose of the tour – and the “hook” that got our attention is the 300th Anniversary Celebration of our church (The Church of the Brethren) in Schwarzenau, Germany, next weekend. We will also spend a few days in Switzerland before coming back to the USA.
Cerwin and I have “roots” in Germany and Switzerland – which added even more interest for us.
~~~
It’s time to pack and get the house ready for guests who are staying here during a nephew’s wedding – that we will miss because of this trip.
~~~
I’ll stay in touch as I have time and Internet access!
