Fog, Funeral, Shopping, & Macaroni Grill
The first four pictures of morning fog were taken at the same time and place. The only difference being the setting of the flash.
Fog
Funeral
Today was emotional for me. We attended the funeral of one of my dad’s best friends, Rufus Fahnestock. (Daddy died in 1997.) I felt like a little girl again, remembering their friendship and the many times our familes spent together.
I inserted the above photo of Rufus and Marie from their daughter, Theda’s, site www.xanga.com/godisdoingsomething. The photo was taken a few weeks ago at their seventieth wedding anniversary celebration. There are more anniversary photos on her site.
Afternoon Sky
After enjoying lunch with their family and friends in our church’s fellowship hall, we came home and did some work in the office before heading to Park City.
Shopping
Cerwin noticed by a newpaper flyer that luggage was between 50% and 70% off, and we needed a new piece for some upcoming trips.
While looking through one luggage department, I noticed a section of cameras and camera bags. Since purchasing a new flash the other week, I needed a larger bag, and wanted a compact, sling or backpack camera bag for travel. I had my camera along and liked how it fit in this sling bag, and how the bag fit me. I particularly like how I can wear it on my back, or easily slide it under my arm, or to the front.
We eventually settled on a piece of luggage at The Bon-Ton. I waited in a seating area while Cerwin made the purchase.
After checking through my new camera bag, I took pictures of my surroundings.
This is the piece of luggage we chose.
Romano’s Macaroni Grill
I love any restaurant that serves Iced Blackberry Mint Tea.
Cerwin’s choice ~ Italian Sausage and Tomato Soup
My choice ~ Polo Magro “Skinny Chicken”
When the waiter made a comment about my “nice” camera, I asked if he wanted to be on my photo blog tonight. He said, “Sure.”
Cerwin chose soup so he could have dessert, and asked if I wanted to share it. I didn’t think I was going to have dessert, but said if he chooses Lemon Passion cake, I would taste some. Oh, dear. That was a bad decision on my part. I had way more than one bite. It was beyond delicious.
I will need to do a lot of walking on our Air Climber tomorrow.
