Preparations and Decorations
It’s the day before Christmas, the day our local granddaughters move in and help with Christmas preparations and decorations.
Gloria, Jana, Jenna, and Diana made chip and vegetable dip.
Jen, you will be pleased to know that I used Tastefully Simple packets.
Then we began decorating the garage – the area for our family’s dinners and gift exchange.
Diana working in the manger/angel area.
Jana putting some finishing touches to the snowman/winter area.
Jenna attaching a clip-on star.
Abigail stopped in before going to work. I gave her the plastic canvas blocks to arrange.
I stitched these years ago so there would be a Christmas decoration the small children could play with and not break.
Jenna made these beautiful decorations with tin cans, ribbon, and holly. The holly came from our daughter Deb’s house. She has beautiful holly trees – so I begged. They will be table centerpieces tomorrow.
Then it was time to practice some songs for a special Christmas concert. I’m not sure how I missed getting Diana and Jana in the picture, as they were singing Jingle Bells while Jenna played violin.
The girls are now gone – and we are left with a beautifully decorated garage.
For this area we gather benches (all built by Cerwin) from around the house. Gloria dressed the Build-a-Bears in their Christmas finery and placed them on the small benches, while Jenna and Jana decorated the larger benches.
I think they did a great job.
Thanks, girls!
