Happy Birthday to Our Favorite Nicole Elizabeth
We love you! Grandpa and Grandma High
A side note concerning my previous post about speaking at Martindale Mennonite Church.
Brenda drove each evening (half an hour drive) for which I was thankful because I do not like driving at night anymore. Just after leaving the Martindale Church on Tuesday night, we hit a skunk. Actually, we didn’t hit it – it hit us by coming at us from the side. We caught it with […]
For All I Am Worth
If I want to embrace life and see this day fill up with good, I must cultivate good. I must run after peace for all I am worth. 1 Peter 3:10-11 Excerpts from The Message This was a Bible verse I used when my sister-in-law Brenda Hershey and I spoke to a group of ladies […]

Relationships Matter
You will never have a good relationship with others if you don’t have a good relationship with yourself. And you can’t have a good relationship with yourself if you don’t have a good relationship with God and know for a surety that Jesus loves you.

We sang happy birthday to Velda (Cerwin’s sister) before the meal finished. We enjoyed an afternoon of fabulous picking and singing. Bryan (Crystal’s brother) […]

Saying Goodbye to a Friend’s Sweet Cat
Our woodlot has been the designated burial spot for our friend Inge’s cats when it comes their time to be at rest. The latest one was Sir Greystone. This is one of the last pictures Inge has of him. Yesterday, after having Sir Greystone put to sleep, she brought his container to where Cerwin had […]
White Oak Church Fellowship Meal
~~~ Sunday Evening, September 21 Catalyst Christian School (formerly LAMS) ~~~ I only took a few pictures this year. The three food tables were organized by the committee – which was a Sunday school class. Every family brought food. There were two tables of hot food and salads and one table of drinks and desserts. […]
Woodbine and Something to Ponder
~~~ Something to Ponder ~~~
Our Road
As of today, our road is still hidden by cornfields – at least as we look at it from our kitchen windows. We can no longer see most vehicles – only those that are taller than cars, pickup trucks, and motorcycles. I love this view.
