Wednesday, March 11
On Tuesday, after a day of picking up hickory nuts, putting them in a wheelbarrow, and pushing the filled wheelbarrow a bit uphill to the woodlot behind our house, Cerwin said it was time to get a trailer to pull behind his lawnmower for this kind of lawncare.
On Wednesday morning I suggested that we make a daytrip to Tractor Supply to check out the small, dump trailer he found online, then on to Esbenshade’s Greenhouse to find something fun for our patio flowerbeds and use our $5 coupon which expired on the 13th, PaulB Hardware to see what kind of small trailers they had, and over the mountain to Middle Creek Wildlife Sanctuary to see if there were any Tundra Swans or Snow Geese left behind after their large migration. After that we could continue to Timber Creek Coffee in Myerstown (to use the $20 gift card from my secret sister at church) for brunch.
He liked the idea, so we left here about 9 am.

The first picture I took was at Middle Creek Wildlife Sanctuary where we found a few geese and swans.

I wish I had brought my good camera, but my cell phone captured a bit of our day.

We had never been at Timber Creek Coffee, so used my cell phone GPS which took us by CM High where our grandson Ian works. We saw his car, so messaged him, but he was not there at the time. š

We started with egg bites and shared a raspberry Latte…

..and finished our meal by sharing a scone and small muffin.

It was nice to be inside where it was warm and watch the traffic on RT 422 as we enjoyed our goodies on a cold, rainy, dreary day

To use up the entire $20 gift card we purchased a cinnamon roll to take home for Thursday’s breakfast.
Since we would be driving home by Schaefferstown, we stopped at Dutchway Farm Market for a few groceries, then to Tractor Supply where Cerwin purchased the garden trailer he liked.

When at Esbenshade’s Greenhouse I used my certificate to buy this cute frog for our birdbath.

The old frog was relegated to the ground to oversee this piece of tile from an old silo at the homestead and the ground feeder for our birds.

Cerwin’s new garden trailer was delivered about 3:30 pm.

He said, “I am tickled pink.” I teased him that now he had a tractor/trailer again. š
That tractator/trailer looks like a really useful rig! He looks like a real “yard-farmer”!
I like that. Yard-farmer. š
Now I want to go on a day with my husband!
And seeing those beautiful birds, I understand only too well the wish to have brought the bigger camera.
It was a fun day!
