Brunch with a Friend and Something to Ponder

No Comments
| Uncategorized

~~~ Wednesday, February 21 ~~~ This was Cookie’s birthday, so I invited her out for brunch. We don’t see each other very often these days, but we sure have fun catching up. We became friends in the early ’70s when our children were small – and she was a brand-new Christian. We hung out together […]
New Electric Poles
| Uncategorized
We have been watching this process for many months, as these skilled workmen installed new electric poles in our neighborhood. We knew they were soon going to be working in front of our house, when they laid a “road” of strong skids through the fields that connected with this field – from north to south. […]
Our Updated Bathroom
I took a few pictures of what our bathroom has looked like since 1967 when we built the house. We changed a few things like the window dressing – from curtain to venetian blind to solar blind and of course we changed a few other things, like decorations and towel colors. 🙂 Our toilet was […]
~~~ Saturday Evening February 17 ~~~ We always enjoy this interesting program. I was looking forward to this one because the speaker was Jason Caldwell. He is an experienced falconer with many interesting stories and lots of information. I think this is the third or fourth time I have listened to one of his presentations. […]

Writing a StoryWorth Book

Our daughter Deb was pleased to hold her book shortly after it arrived in our mail a few weeks ago. We bought one for us and each of our children. It was toward the end of 2022 when she asked if I would consider answering one question a week (each Monday) which would in turn […]

It was interesting to drive through Lititz on Saturday (Feb 17) and see a few ice sculptures along the street. They are part of the Fire & Ice Festival that is going on in Lititz from February 16 through 25. It was difficult to get pictures while in a moving car because of the many […]

Winter Is a Great Time to Celebrate Valentine’s Day

After several days of snow this past week, I have concluded that Valentine’s Day is placed in just the right spot on our calendar. Shrimp Corn Chowder (above) for me and Potato Soup for Cerwin was a perfect way to celebrate a cold, wintry Valentine’s Day at The Udder Choice. We also shared a delicious […]

My husband, Cerwin, and I have four children, seventeen grandchildren (2 are in Heaven), and 19 great grandchildren. Cerwin spent 40 years as a truck driver for Ferrellgas. We are both retired from serving with Transport For Christ - a ministry to truck drivers - and love our life in rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
